Belinda Nixon
Belinda Nixon is a clinical psychologist, who is passionate about empowering clients and providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment. She has a warm, caring, and gentle therapeutic style. Belinda uses a client-centered approach that incorporates evidence-based practices to tailor therapy to the needs of the individual. She primarily works within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework but integrates approaches from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
Belinda has been supporting individuals and families since 2009 in various private practices and schools in Sydney and the Central Coast. She completed her Master of Clinical Psychology in 2021 and published articles from her research about inquiry into sexual abuse. She has completed additional training in trauma-informed therapy and the circle of security parenting model. She has a special interest in working with adolescents and adults who experience anxiety, stress, grief, depression, trauma, and neurodiversity (including autism spectrum disorder and ADHD).
